Qome exists to take the guesswork, the hidden margins and the cold leads out of home improvement — for the people paying for the work, and the people doing it.
Renovating is one of the biggest things most people ever spend on, yet it's done largely in the dark. Homeowners guess at prices and hope a quote is fair. Good tradespeople get buried among platforms that sell their details as leads and skim a cut off honest work.
We thought it should be simpler and more honest. Put real prices in the open. Let people plan properly, with the family who'll live with the result. And give tradespeople somewhere to be found on the strength of their actual reputation — without a middleman taking a slice.
Even the name says it: Qome is "quote" and "home" — honest pricing and your home, in one place. That's the whole idea.
A fair question — and one we'd rather answer plainly than have you wonder about.
Plan your project, or claim your business — and see what doing it in the open feels like.
The things people ask most — switch between homeowners and tradespeople using the toggle above.
Free to browse and price. You can explore the full catalogue, see approximate region-adjusted costs, and search local tradespeople without paying anything. Qome Plus (a flat fee) adds the tools to plan, budget, track and manage a whole renovation.
Two flat fees, no cut of any job. Homeowners can upgrade to Qome Plus for the full planning tools, and tradespeople pay an annual subscription for a full profile and business tools. We take no commission and don't pad prices to pay ourselves.
They're built from UK cost data, cross-checked across multiple sources, and updated regularly. Think of them as honest guides to what work typically costs — not binding quotes. Your own plan gives you a tailored estimate.
We don't verify accreditations ourselves. Where a tradesperson declares one — Gas Safe, NICEIC, FENSA, MCS, FMB, TrustMark and more — we link straight to the official public register so you can check it yourself in seconds.
Yes. Share a plan with family or friends so you can build and structure the project together, rather than deciding everything alone.
No. Your plans and details are yours. We don't sell homeowner data or hand your contact details out as leads.
No. Qome takes no commission on the jobs you win — what you earn is yours. We're funded by a flat subscription, not a slice of your work.
Qome Trade is a flat annual subscription with no commission on top. You'll see the current price when you set up your profile, so you know exactly what you're signing up to.
Quite possibly. We build profiles from public registers, so many businesses already have a listing. Search for yours, check the details, and claim it as your own.
Yes. You can carry your reviews and work history onto your Qome profile, so your reputation is working for you from the moment you go live.
A full public profile (photo gallery, featured services, your own qome.co.uk URL), a job pipeline with payment tracking from quoted to paid, tax and compliance reminders for Self Assessment, VAT and CIS, linked Google and Trustpilot reviews, a weekly digest, and direct contact with no reveal step.
We don't verify them ourselves. For every declared accreditation, we link directly to the official public register so you can check it yourself in seconds.
Snap Guides for honest pricing — what it costs and what actually happens. Fix & Diagnose guides for when things go wrong — what's causing it and what to try first.
Everything Qome does, in plain English — switch between homeowners and tradespeople using the toggle above.
Plain English by design — your rights are not hidden in jargon. Last updated: 17 June 2026.
Qome ("we", "us") operates qome.co.uk, a UK platform for planning, pricing and tracking home renovation and for finding local tradespeople. Qome is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are Qome Ltd, company number 17295046, registered office [insert registered office address — pending change away from home address]. Contact: support@qome.co.uk.
Account data — name, email, password (stored hashed), account type and settings. Plan data — the projects, budgets, reminders and notes you create; these are yours and are private to your account unless you share them. Tradesperson business data — business name, services, service area, photos, accreditations and review links added to a profile; public profiles are, by design, public. Seeded listing data — basic business information compiled from public registers (such as Companies House and accreditation registers) to create unclaimed directory listings; our lawful basis is legitimate interests, and businesses can claim, correct or request removal of their listing. Payment data — handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers. Technical data — device, browser, IP address and usage patterns, used to keep Qome secure and improve it.
To provide the service you signed up for (contract); to secure accounts, prevent fraud and improve Qome (legitimate interests); to send service messages such as receipts and important changes (contract / legal obligation); to send optional product updates only with your consent, which you can withdraw any time; and to meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting record-keeping.
We do not sell personal data. We do not pass homeowner contact details to tradespeople or anyone else as sales leads. We do not use your private plan data for advertising.
We share data only with the processors who run the platform for us, under contracts that restrict them to our instructions. Today, that's Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and account authentication), Resend (account verification and other transactional emails), Zoho (our support inbox) and, only if you've accepted analytics cookies, PostHog (analytics). We'll keep this list current as our suppliers change. If you click a sponsored placement on a free tradesperson listing and have accepted affiliate cookies, we share limited information about that click with our affiliate network, Awin, so they can credit any resulting purchase to Qome; Awin acts as an independent controller for that data, and its own privacy policy explains what it does with it. We may also use and share data where it is necessary to detect, prevent or investigate fraud, security issues or misuse of Qome, to enforce our terms, or to comply with the law and respond to lawful requests from authorities. A tradesperson's public profile is designed to be found: it may appear in search engine results and includes information such as business name, services, service area and reviews. If Qome is ever sold or restructured, data may transfer to the new operator under this policy's protections, and you would be notified.
Where a processor stores data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement).
Account and plan data is kept while your account is active, and deleted or anonymised within 30 days of account closure. Transaction records are kept for 6 years to meet tax law. Technical and security logs are kept for 90 days. Where it is necessary and proportionate to protect the integrity of the platform, we may retain a limited amount of data after an account or listing is closed — for example, to prevent a removed business from re-registering under a different identity, or to stop review manipulation.
Home Inspection (PGI) records — faults you log during a walkthrough, and any photo attached to them — are deleted, photo and record together, 30 days after being marked resolved. This is separate from your Renovation History, which is retained as part of your ongoing home record and is not subject to this deletion.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access limited to the people who need it. No online service can be completely secure, but we have procedures for handling suspected data breaches, and where the law requires it we will notify you and the Information Commissioner's Office.
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can: access a copy of your data; correct it; have it erased; restrict or object to processing; take your data elsewhere (portability); and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Email support@qome.co.uk — we respond within one month and never charge for reasonable requests. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, you also have the right to complain — see Complaints below.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to us directly. Email support@qome.co.uk, or write to us at our registered office above, telling us what the complaint is about. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it and investigate it without undue delay, keeping you informed of progress and letting you know the outcome. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — though the ICO will normally expect you to raise it with us first.
Qome is for adults arranging work on homes and is not directed at children under 18.
If this policy changes materially, we will tell you by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect.

These terms are an agreement between you and Qome (Qome Ltd, company number 17295046, "we") when you use qome.co.uk. They apply to everyone who uses the site, including homeowners. A "homeowner" means a consumer planning or arranging work. If you are a tradesperson — that is, you claim a listing or subscribe to Qome Trade — our separate Qome Trade Terms also apply to you, alongside these. You must be 18 or over to hold an account.
Qome helps homeowners plan, price and track renovation work, and helps tradespeople be found and run their work. Qome takes no commission on any job. Crucially, Qome is not a party to any contract between a homeowner and a tradesperson. We introduce and inform; the agreement for the work itself — its price, scope, timing and quality — is made directly between you, and responsibility for the work sits with the tradesperson who carries it out.
Prices on Qome are approximate, region-adjusted guide figures built from cross-checked UK cost data. They exist to inform you, not to bind anyone. Actual prices are whatever you and your tradesperson agree, and a difference between a Qome guide figure and a real quote is not a fault in either.
Reviews must reflect genuine experience. Fake, incentivised-without-disclosure, or retaliatory reviews are removed and may end the account that posted them. You keep ownership of the content you add, and grant Qome the licence needed to display it on the platform. Linked third-party reviews (such as Google or Trustpilot) remain governed by those platforms.
Qome Plus is an optional paid plan for homeowners. It renews automatically on the stated cycle unless cancelled before renewal; the price is shown at sign-up and at renewal. Before each renewal we'll remind you, including the price and how to cancel. If we change the subscription price, we'll give you advance notice before the new price takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies. As a consumer you have a 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: cancel within 14 days of purchase for a refund, less a proportionate charge if you asked the service to start straight away. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal and your paid-for time runs to the end of the current period, but the subscription is otherwise non-refundable. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
You agree not to: scrape or bulk-extract Qome data; misrepresent a business or qualification; misuse another person's contact details; attempt to breach security; or use Qome for anything unlawful. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account; you may let someone manage your account on your behalf, but you remain responsible for its use. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.
We work to keep Qome available and accurate, but a platform of this kind is provided "as is": we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and guide prices in particular change as data improves. We may update features, these terms, and policies; material changes will be notified, and continued use after notice means acceptance.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that: Qome is not liable for the acts, omissions or workmanship of any tradesperson, for agreements made between users, or for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. For paid accounts, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid in that period.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales (consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also use their local courts). If any clause is found invalid, the rest stand. Contact: support@qome.co.uk.
The business-side terms for tradespeople. Last updated: 17 June 2026.
These Qome Trade Terms are an agreement between you and Qome (Qome Ltd, company number 17295046, "we") and apply when you claim a listing or hold a Qome Trade subscription. They sit alongside our general Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy; where there is any conflict on a trade-specific matter, these terms take precedence. You confirm that you use Qome as a business, not as a consumer, and that the person agreeing is authorised to bind that business.
Some directory listings are created from public registers before being claimed. Claiming a listing confirms you are authorised to manage that business and that the information you add is accurate and kept up to date. Accreditation badges are self-declared by the tradesperson and linked to the relevant public register so you can check them yourself; we don't verify them. You must keep your accreditations current, and we may remove badges you no longer hold. We may suspend or remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading or misused.
You keep ownership of the photos, logo, descriptions and links you add to your profile, and you grant Qome the licence needed to host and display them on the platform, including on your public, search-indexable profile page. You confirm you own that content or have permission to use it, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.
Qome Trade is a paid annual subscription. The price is shown at sign-up and again before each renewal, and it renews automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. Before each renewal we'll remind you of the price and how to cancel. If we change the subscription price, we'll give advance notice before it takes effect, and you can cancel before the new price applies. Payment is taken by our payment processor. Because you are contracting as a business and not as a consumer, the 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of your current paid period, after which your account returns to the free tier and billing stops. Subscription fees are non-refundable — we do not give pro-rata refunds for time not used. If we materially reduce the service during a period you've paid for, that is the one case where we'll consider a fair refund.
You agree to: keep your business details, services and accreditations accurate and current; respond to homeowners honestly; not misrepresent your qualifications, insurance or approvals; not post or solicit fake reviews; and comply with the acceptable-use rules in our general Terms of Use. Accounts that break these terms may be suspended or closed.
Qome is a directory and a set of business tools. We are not a party to any contract between you and a homeowner, we do not guarantee you any leads, enquiries or work, and the quality and delivery of any job remain entirely your responsibility. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, and because this is a business-to-business service: we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the Qome Trade fees you paid in that period.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any clause is found invalid, the rest stand. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified before they take effect. Contact: support@qome.co.uk.

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website work and remember choices. UK rules (PECR, alongside UK GDPR) require us to tell you what we use and to get consent for anything beyond the essentials — which is what the cookie banner does.
Keep you signed in, secure the platform and remember your session. These do not need consent and cannot be switched off, because Qome will not function without them.
Remember choices like your region so guide prices stay adjusted to where you live. Used only with your consent.
Help us understand how Qome is used so we can improve it — for example which guides are read most. We use PostHog for this. They're set only if you accept them in the banner, and the data is aggregated, not used to profile you for advertising.
Some free tradesperson listings are funded by sponsored placements rather than a subscription. If you click one of these, our affiliate network, Awin, may set a cookie on your device to record that the click came via Qome, so that an advertiser can pay us a referral commission if you go on to buy something. This cookie is set only if you accept it in the banner, is used solely for that referral attribution, and is not used by Qome to build an advertising profile of you or to retarget you elsewhere. The network sets its own cookie duration and is itself a separate controller for that data — see Awin's own privacy and cookie information for what they do with it. Declining this category does not stop a free listing being shown to you; sponsored content may still appear, but no tracking cookie is set from it.
Change your choices any time via the cookie settings link in the footer, or clear and block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of Qome working.
If the cookies we use change, this page and the banner will be updated before the change takes effect.
